Jennifer reportedly told friends that she was having a surprise 44th birthday party for her fiance, and a cake and a pastor were spotted arriving to their home. Jennifer and Justin said their vows in front of more than 70 family members and friends, PEOPLEreports. Photos surfaced of a cake with two Muppet-like characters on top and a pastor with a bible in his hand heading into the party, TMZ reported. Jennifer told her friends that it was just a surprise party for Justin, whose turns 44 on Aug. 10.The wedding was attended by good friends John Krasinski, 35, Howard Stern, 61, Chelsea Handler, 40, Sia, 39, Jennifer Meyer, 38, Emily Blunt, 32, Ellen DeGeneres, 57, Scott Campbell, Terry Richardson, 49, and Lisa Kudrow, 52, Us Weekly reports. Ellen and Howard were pictured arriving to the nuptials. It’s been an ongoing joke between Ellen and Jen about whether or not the daytime host would be on the guest list. Looks like she got the invite!
A giant shed was built over the past week to hide the party supplies, according to TMZ. Justin and Jennifer’s pool was also covered to create a bigger walking area in the backyard. A large wooden deck was built, filled with nooks for comfortable lounging. Seating for 74 was set up, along with ottomans. There was also a raised stage at one end of the backyard, and a bar on the other. Jen kept the wedding very secretive. Staffers’ phones were reportedly taken the week leading up to the party, and no parking was allowed near the home.
Reports have circulated for years about Justin and Jennifer getting married. The couple gotengaged in Aug. 2012. Justin proposed on his birthday with a huge $1 million diamond ring over dinner at Blue Hill restaurant in New York City. Jennifer and Justin started dating in May 2011. This is her first marriage since Brad Pitt, 51, whom she married in 2000. Jen and Brad divorced in 2005. This is Justin’s first marriage.
